Our venue

Dombfalva is a community-based program venue located next to Gödöllő, only 40 kilometers from Budapest, among the gentle hills of the Gödöllő region. We founded Dombfalva over ten years ago, and during this time it has gone through several phases of expansion and transformation.

By now, our mission has become clear: to operate a program venue guided by the values of sustainability and environmental awareness. We provide space for various community programs, family and corporate events. We also organize our own environmental education activities and training programs, involving both local and international young people.

Dombfalva currently operates on a 6-hectare area, including several buildings, program spaces, a summer kitchen and seasonal accommodation facilities. Our natural surroundings are embedded in the characteristic forested landscape of the region. The area includes woodland patches, a large meadow, an orchard, and a vegetable garden. Due to the unique structure of the land, it is suitable for a wide variety of uses. We strive to shape our spaces in a way that makes our natural and agricultural values accessible to visitors, while also serving as educational resources.

Current Facilities and Services

• Training space/stage:
  A 70 m² elevated wooden-floor structure protected from wind and rain. The space includes wall surfaces suitable for attaching papers, images, and for video projection. Approximately 36 m² of tatami mats are also available, providing a comfortable surface for various activities. The building is equipped with electricity with 3x32A power.

• Community indoor space:
  An approximately 80 m² indoor community space suitable for hosting activities during rainy or colder weather, as well as for evening gatherings of larger groups.

• Covered terrace:
  A flexible, rearrangeable space providing seating for max. 40-60 people for meals. It is equipped with a bar counter, washing station, and tableware storage.

• Willow Dome:
  The willow dome is one of the most defining elements of our outdoor spaces, which is an 8-meter diameter, approximately 3-meter high, living foliage dome system. Under it, there is a cozy, intimate space for holding conversations or small presentations. It also provides an excellent place for yoga or craft activities. Our willow dome is located in the immediate vicinity of the summer kitchen and terrace.

  

• Summer camp kitchen:
  Fully equipped to cook for up to 80-100 people. We can provide vegetables from the garden and collected edibles from the surrounding area upon request.

• Community garden:
  A 700 m² organically cultivated vegetable garden maintained by members of our community. The produce is used in our kitchen services.

• Sanitary facilities:
  4 outdoor showers heated by modern solar collectors, 6 composting toilets distributed across the site for easy access operated according to the composting principles.

• Outdoor program areas:
  A large meadow suitable for activities such as football matches or children’s camps, as well as approximately 4 additional hectares of accessible forest, grassland, and arable land. These areas can be used as program locations for a wide range of activities upon prior arrangement.

• Summer camping:
  The area is primarily for camping, which can be used with your own tents. We can provide military tents for rent on request. Our tents can provide overnight accommodation for 30 people. The tents are reinforced with rain protection, equipped with beds and simple shelves.

• Musical services:
  Our venue offers the opportunity to enjoy evening concerts, performed by members of our community
